Who attends these training days?
FitSteps Training Days are open to all. There is no pre-requisite for the training as full training is given however the best entry level is someone holding a Level 2 fitness qualification or Exercise to Music. However having a passion for dance is just as important.
It is a gruelling day where you WILL be dancing for a few hours straight so you need to bear this in mind when booking.
Our training days are for brand new instructors, those who have signed up for online training and also current instructors who would like a "refresher" course.
Current instructors can be re-graded on the day.
What do you need to bring?
Please check the venue information that will be sent to you as each venue will have different facilities. Some my not be near to a shop so we always advise you bring your lunch with you and plenty of water. Some quick snacks would be good too as you will be burning a lot of calories!
Please also bring a pen and a notebook so that you can make notes through out the day.
How does the assessment process work
You will be assessed on the day, and will be given instant feedback. The assessment will look for certain criteria from timing and rhythm to cueing.
There are 3 grades to be achieved, Bronze, Silver and Gold. If you don't reach the level you would like then there is plenty of opportunity to be re-graded online post event.
Most of all.... the assessment isn't too scary and there will be people on hand to guide you through so don't panic!
